For the sake of learning and truth, I must confess the ignoramus moves I have made, and still make, as a certified Master Gardener…. I hoard plants, sometimes leave them in the pot for 2 years…Why on Gods Earth would I do that ? LAZZZZYYYY!!! Only obsessed plant n hort lovers who are also ADD brained can likely understand how this happens…we dont feel lazy, quite the contrary really…ea new plant makes our minds spin w excitement…we make plans, we do research, we constantly look for perfect spaces, we dont have the ultimate location that feels right, we put it off in search for the perfect plant mate…so we adopt more in the process thinking it’s part of a whole dynamic ecosystem that will be amazingly beautiful like Monty Don’s garden Longmeadow or Belle Meades Cheekwood..then its 1 year later n the poor pathetic thing is root bound or just lonely…BUT WAIT! Perennials are very hardy perhaps more so than humans…so I’ll keep looking n waiting for the right spot…and hopefully It will wait for me to get all that worked out. Some do, but many dont…so I am constantly having to work out a tremendous amount of plant Karma. Solution to working off plant Karma? HOLDING BEDS…more on that later…
